Made with Three.js, lots of Claude, and a touch of research into our galaxy and its star clusters.

This project renders ~650,000 foreground stars and 16,000 background stars layered for depth and parallax.

The spiral structure is generated from a logarithmic spiral equation (via a polar → Cartesian transform), producing galactic arms controlled by a pitch angle.

Star density follows power-law radial distributions for a dense core and diffuse outer disk.

Star-forming clumps and dust lanes emerge from layered trigonometric interference fields.

All stars feature time-based twinkling.
